In Sweden, there are no large, exclusive networks solely for Chief of Staffs (CoS), but there are several professional communities and leadership networks that are very relevant for people in the CoS role. Examples are Ledarna, Sweden’s largest leadership organization, which offers leadership development, networking events, and support for managers at all levels. Saco and Akavia bring together academics and leaders in economics, law, IT, and HR, providing access to broad networks and skills development. The CEO Group is a network for CEOs and senior leaders where CoS professionals can participate to build relationships and exchange experiences on strategic leadership. Svenska Managementinstitutet offers training and forums for strategic leaders, while the Foundation for Strategic Research organizes events for innovation and change leaders. In addition, there are digital networks such as LinkedIn groups (e.g., “Chief of Staff Sweden” or “Swedish Executives”) and Meetup events for leaders and strategists. Although these networks are not CoS-exclusive, they provide access to experience exchange, mentorship, and knowledge that is directly applicable to the CoS role. Overall, Swedish Chiefs of Staff have good opportunities to build professional networks and develop through these platforms, although there is no dedicated Swedish CoS association.
