Enterprise Architecture (EA) is closely linked to Sweden’s national digitalization strategy, which aims to create a sustainable, open, and secure digital infrastructure. EA is used to ensure that the organization’s IT and business processes are aligned with national goals of interoperability, transparency, and innovation. For a Chief of Staff, this means that the EA work must integrate requirements from both the digitalization strategy and regulations from the Postal and Telecommunications Authority (PTS), which is responsible for electronic communication and the eIDAS regulation. EA models are used to map and ensure that the organization’s systems meet requirements for security, accessibility, and data protection. By working proactively with EA, CoS can help the organization stay ahead of the curve when it comes to regulation.
